ปตท.สผ. และพันธมิตรเดินหน้าเสริมความมั่นคงทางพลังงานในระยะยาว หลังเข้ารับสิทธิแปลง A-18-01 ในพื้นที่พัฒนาร่วมไทย-มาเลเซีย
กรุงเทพฯ, 14 กันยายน 2569 – ปตท.สผ. และ PC JDA รับมอบสิทธิในสัญญาแบ่งปันผลผลิต (PSC) แปลง A-18-01 ในพื้นที่พัฒนาร่วมไทย-มาเลเซีย (MTJDA) จากองค์กรร่วมไทย-มาเลเซีย เดินหน้าเสริมความมั่นคงทางพลังงาน พร้อมต่อยอดการพัฒนาแหล่งก๊าซธรรมชาติร่วมกับแปลง B-17-01 เพื่อรักษาอัตราการผลิตก๊าซธรรมชาติ รองรับความต้องการใช้พลังงานอย่างต่อเนื่องในระยะยาว 35 ปี โดยมีนายอนุทิน ชาญวีรกูล นายกรัฐมนตรี ให้เกียรติเข้าร่วมในพิธี
นายมนตรี ลาวัลย์ชัยกุล ประธานเจ้าหน้าที่บริหาร บริษัท ปตท.สำรวจและผลิตปิโตรเลียม จำกัด (มหาชน) หรือ ปตท.สผ. เปิดเผยว่า ปตท.สผ. เข้ารับมอบสิทธิในสัญญาแบ่งปันผลผลิต (Production Sharing Contract หรือ PSC) แปลง A-18-01 ในพื้นที่พัฒนาร่วมไทย-มาเลเซีย (Malaysia-Thailand Joint Development Area หรือ MTJDA) จากองค์กรร่วมไทย-มาเลเซีย (MTJA) โดยมีนายอนุทิน ชาญวีรกูล นายกรัฐมนตรี นายเอกนัฏ พร้อมพันธุ์ รัฐมนตรีว่าการกระทรวงพลังงาน Mr. Akmal Nasrullah Mohd Nasir รัฐมนตรีว่าการกระทรวงเศรษฐกิจของประเทศมาเลเซีย และ YBhg. Datuk Wan Zaidi bin Wan Abdullah เอกอัครราชทูตมาเลเซียประจำราชอาณาจักรไทย ร่วมในพิธี ซึ่งจัดขึ้นโดย MTJA ในงาน Gastech Exhibition & Conference 2026 ณ ศูนย์นิทรรศการและการประชุมไบเทค กรุงเทพฯ
ผู้รับสิทธิในสัญญาแบ่งปันผลผลิต แปลง A-18-01 ประกอบด้วยบริษัท PTTEP JDX Thailand (JDA) Limited และบริษัท PTTEP JDX Thailand Company Limited บริษัทย่อยของ ปตท.สผ. และบริษัท PC JDA Limited ซึ่งเป็นบริษัทย่อยของ PETRONAS Carigali Sdn Bhd. โดยแต่ละฝ่ายถือสัดส่วนการลงทุนร้อยละ 50 เพื่อดำเนินการสำรวจ พัฒนา และผลิตปิโตรเลียม ในแปลง A-18-01 อย่างต่อเนื่องไปอีกเป็นระยะเวลา 35 ปี สัญญาดังกล่าวมีผลย้อนหลังตั้งแต่วันที่ 1 มกราคม 2569
สัญญาแบ่งปันผลผลิตดังกล่าว เป็นการทดแทนสัญญาแบ่งปันผลผลิตฉบับเดิม ครอบคลุมพื้นที่เดิมของแปลง A-18 รวมทั้งพื้นที่ใหม่ โดยมีกำลังการผลิตก๊าซธรรมชาติได้ในอัตราประมาณ 300-400 ล้านลูกบาศก์ฟุตต่อวัน ส่งเข้าประเทศไทยและประเทศมาเลเซียในสัดส่วนที่เท่ากัน โดยก๊าซฯ ที่ส่งเข้าประเทศไทยคิดเป็นประมาณร้อยละ 4 ของความต้องการใช้ก๊าซฯ ในประเทศ เพื่อเป็นเชื้อเพลิงในการผลิตไฟฟ้าให้กับพื้นที่ภาคใต้ของไทย
“พื้นที่พัฒนาร่วมไทย-มาเลเซีย ถือเป็นอีกหนึ่งพื้นที่สำคัญที่มีบทบาทในการเสริมสร้างความมั่นคงทางพลังงานของประเทศไทย โดยเฉพาะในบริเวณภาคใต้ การเข้ารับสิทธิตามสัญญาแบ่งปันผลผลิต ฉบับใหม่นี้ จะช่วยรักษาความต่อเนื่องของการผลิตก๊าซธรรมชาติให้กับทั้งสองประเทศ ตลอดจนเสริมสร้างความมั่นคงด้านพลังงานในระยะยาว นอกจากนั้น ยังสามารถต่อยอดการพัฒนาแปลง A-18-01 ร่วมกับแปลง B-17-01 ซึ่ง ปตท.สผ. และ PC JDA มีการร่วมลงทุนกันอยู่แล้ว โดยสามารถใช้ประโยชน์จากโครงสร้างพื้นฐานและทรัพยากรร่วมกัน ซึ่งจะช่วยเพิ่มศักยภาพการดำเนินงานและสนับสนุนการผลิต ก๊าซฯ ได้อย่างมีประสิทธิภาพสูงสุด ปัจจุบันทั้ง 2 แปลง สามารถผลิตก๊าซฯ รวมกันได้ถึงอัตราประมาณ 700 ล้านลูกบาศก์ฟุตต่อวัน” นายมนตรี กล่าว
สำหรับการพัฒนาแปลง A-18-01 กลุ่มผู้ร่วมทุนมีแผนจะดำเนินกิจกรรมสำรวจและพัฒนา แหล่งปิโตรเลียมเพิ่มเติม เพื่อการรักษาอัตราการผลิตก๊าซฯ ให้เกิดความต่อเนื่อง และเสริมสร้างความมั่นคงทางพลังงานให้กับประเทศไทยและมาเลเซียในระยะยาว
พื้นที่พัฒนาร่วมไทย-มาเลเซีย ตั้งอยู่บริเวณตอนล่างของอ่าวไทย ประกอบด้วย แปลง A-18-01 และแปลง B-17-01 ครอบคลุมพื้นที่รวมกันประมาณ 7,250 ตารางกิโลเมตร เป็นแหล่งทรัพยากรก๊าซธรรมชาติและคอนเดนเสทที่สำคัญของประเทศไทยและมาเลเซีย โดยแปลง A-18-01 ประกอบด้วยแหล่งก๊าซฯ เช่น จักรวาล ภูมี สุริยา บุหลัน บุหลันใต้ เซ็นจา ภูมีตะวันออก สมุทรา และวีระ ส่วนแปลง B-17-01 ประกอบด้วยแหล่งก๊าซฯ เช่น มูด้า ตาปี ตันจุง อมฤต เจ็งก้า เมลาติ และแอนดาลัส

PTTEP and partners strengthen long-term energy security with Block A-18-01 award in the Malaysia-Thailand Joint Development Area
Bangkok, 14 September 2026 – PTTEP and PC JDA receive Production Sharing Contract (PSC) award for Block A-18-01 in Malaysia-Thailand Joint Development Area (MTJDA) from the Malaysia-Thailand Joint Authority. Strengthening energy security and leveraging synergies with Block B-17-01 to sustain natural gas production and ensure a reliable long-term energy supply for 35 years, with the honorable presence of Prime Minister of Thailand, Mr. Anutin Charnvirakul.
Mr. Montri Rawanchaikul, Chief Executive Officer of PTT Exploration and Production Public Company Limited (PTTEP), revealed that PTTEP, has been awarded the Production Sharing Contract (PSC) for Block A-18-01 in the Malaysia-Thailand Joint Development Area (MTJDA) by the Malaysia-Thailand Joint Authority (MTJA). The award ceremony was presided over by Mr. Anutin Charnvirakul, Prime Minister of Thailand; Mr. Akanat Promphan, Minister of Energy of Thailand; Mr. Akmal Nasrullah Mohd Nasir, Minister of Economy of Malaysia; and YBhg. Datuk Wan Zaidi bin Wan Abdullah, Ambassador of Malaysia to Thailand. Organized by MTJA, the ceremony was held during Gastech Exhibition & Conference 2026 at BITEC, Bangkok.
The PSC was awarded to PTTEP JDX Thailand (JDA) Limited and PTTEP JDX Thailand Company Limited, subsidiaries of PTTEP, and PC JDA Limited, a subsidiary of PETRONAS Carigali Sdn Bhd. Each party holds a 50% participating interest in petroleum exploration, development, and production in Block A-18-01 for a 35-year term, effective retroactively from 1 January 2026.
The new PSC replaces the previous PSC and covers the existing area of Block A-18 as well as additional areas. The block has the potential to produce approximately 300–400 million standard cubic feet per day (MMSCFD) of natural gas, with the production to be supplied equally to Thailand and Malaysia. The gas supplied to Thailand is expected to account for approximately 4% of the country’s natural gas demand and will be used as fuel for power generation to support energy demand in southern Thailand.
“The Malaysia-Thailand Joint Development Area (MTJDA) is a strategically important area that plays a key role in strengthening Thailand’s energy security, particularly in Southern Thailand. The award of this PSC will help ensure continued natural gas production for both countries while enhancing long-term energy security. In addition, the development of Block A-18-01 will enable further synergies with Block B-17-01, in which PTTEP and PC JDA hold participating interests. Leveraging shared infrastructure and resources will enhance operational efficiency and optimize natural gas production. Together, the two blocks currently produce approximately 700 million standard cubic feet of natural gas per day.” Mr. Montri said.
For the development of Block A-18-01, the joint venture partners plan to enhance exploration and development activities to maintain production levels and ensure the continued supply of natural gas.
The Malaysia–Thailand Joint Development Area (MTJDA) is located in the lower Gulf of Thailand and comprises Block A-18-01 and B-17-01, covering a combined area of approximately 7,250 square kilometers. The area is a significant source of natural gas and condensate for both Thailand and Malaysia. Block A-18-01 includes gas fields such as Cakerawala, Bumi, Suriya, Bulan, Bulan South, Senja, Bumi East, Samudra, and Wira, while Block B-17-01 includes Muda, Tapi, Tanjung, Amarit, Jengka, Melati, and Andalas gas fields.
