บางจากฯ ได้รับการจัดอันดับในกลุ่ม Sustainability Leaders 2021 ของ DJSI ในกลุ่มอุตสาหกรรม Oil and Gas Refining and Marketing จากรายงาน The Sustainability Year book 2021 ของ S&P Global และ Robeco SAM ผู้ประเมินดัชนีความยั่งยืนดาวโจนส์ หรือ Dow Jones Sustainability Index (DJSI)
นายชัยวัฒน์ โควาวิสารัช ประธานเจ้าหน้าที่บริหารและกรรมการผู้จัดการใหญ่ บริษัท บางจาก คอร์ปอเรชั่น จำกัด (มหาชน) เปิดเผยว่าจากผลอันดับดัชนีความยั่งยืนดาวโจนส์ DJSI 2021 บางจากฯ ติดอันดับ Top 5 โดยอยู่ในอันดับ 4 จาก 31 บริษัทชั้นนำของโลกในกลุ่มอุตสาหกรรม Oil and Gas Refining and Marketing และได้รับการจัดอันดับองค์กรยั่งยืนในระดับ Bronze Class ซึ่งแสดงอยู่ในรายงานที่เปิดเผยต่อนักลงทุนทั่วโลกผ่านทาง Yearbook Ranking Website และ S&P Global Scores Website ซึ่งภาพรวมผลการประเมินความยั่งยืนองค์กรของบริษัทฯ จากผู้ประเมินต่างประเทศพบว่าบางจากฯ มีการดำเนินธุรกิจและการพัฒนาองค์กรอย่างยั่งยืนครอบคลุมสมดุล 3 ด้าน คือเศรษฐกิจ สังคม และสิ่งแวดล้อม (ESG) พร้อมตอบสนองผู้มีส่วนได้เสียทุกภาคส่วนด้วยความโปร่งใส เป็นธรรม เพื่อสร้างความเชื่อมั่นในการดำเนินงานร่วมกันในระยะยาว ที่ได้ยึดถือปฏิบัติมาตลอดระยะเวลากว่า 35 ปี
นับเป็นอีกกำลังใจที่ช่วยตอกย้ำให้เห็นถึงประสิทธิภาพและการพัฒนาอย่างยั่งยืนในองค์กร ในฐานะผู้นำนวัตกรรมสีเขียวเพื่อความยั่งยืน ที่ให้ความสำคัญกับการดำเนินธุรกิจภายใต้การดูแลสังคมและสิ่งแวดล้อม สร้างความสมดุลระหว่างมูลค่าและกำไร เรารู้สึกภูมิใจอย่างยิ่งที่ได้เป็นส่วนหนึ่งในรายงาน Sustainability Yearbook และได้รับการยอมรับในความมุ่งมั่นต่อการทำธุรกิจเพื่อความยั่งยืนของเรา
แม้ปี 2563 ที่ผ่านมา นับว่าเป็นปีที่สำคัญและท้าทายอย่างยิ่งของกลุ่มบางจากฯ ที่ต้องรับมือกับผลกระทบจากสถานการณ์การแพร่ระบาดของโควิด-19 และราคาน้ำมันโลกที่ผันผวน แต่ด้วยระบบการบริหารจัดการที่ดี การเตรียมพร้อมเพื่อรับสถานการณ์และจัดการความเสี่ยงที่รอบด้าน ทำให้เรายังคงยืนหยัดและรักษามาตรฐานของการดำเนินธุรกิจให้มีประสิทธิภาพ และตอบสนองความต้องการของผู้บริโภคได้อย่างต่อเนื่อง”
ด้านนาย Manjit Jus หัวหน้าฝ่ายวิจัย ESG ระดับโลกของ S&P Global กล่าวว่า “เราขอแสดงความยินดีกับบางจากฯ สำหรับการได้รับการจัดอันดับ Bronze Class ใน Sustainability Yearbook 2021 จากการประเมินบริษัทกว่า 7,000 แห่ง การได้รวมอยู่ในรายงานประจำปีนี้เป็นการแสดงให้เห็นถึงความเป็นเลิศด้านความยั่งยืนของบางจากฯ อย่างแท้จริง”
บางจากฯ ได้เข้าร่วมการประเมินของ DJSI ที่พิจารณาจากการดำเนินธุรกิจและการพัฒนาองค์กรอย่างยั่งยืน ครอบคลุมสมดุล 3 ด้านทั้งเศรษฐกิจ สังคม และสิ่งแวดล้อมมาอย่างต่อเนื่องเป็นเวลา 7 ปี และในปีนี้ บางจากฯ ได้รับคะแนนการประเมิน 83 คะแนน และติดอันดับที่ 4 ของบริษัทไทยในกลุ่มอุตสาหกรรมการกลั่นและการตลาดน้ำมันและก๊าซ ที่จะเผยแพร่รายชื่อในฐานะที่เป็นบริษัทชั้นนำด้านความยั่งยืน ในหนังสือแสดงรายงานความยั่งยืนประจำปี Sustainability Yearbook 2021 ซึ่งเป็นหนึ่งในรายงานที่ครอบคลุมที่สุดในโลก ให้การวิเคราะห์เชิงลึกเกี่ยวกับความรับผิดชอบขององค์กร เอสแอนด์พี โกลบอล ซึ่งเข้าซื้อธุรกิจอีเอสจี เรทติ้งจาก RobecoSAM ได้ประเมินบริษัทกว่า 7,000 แห่งใน 61 อุตสาหกรรมในปี 2564 โดยมีผู้นำด้านความยั่งยืนเพียง 630 บริษัทในโลก ที่ได้รับเลือกให้ติดอันดับในรายงานประจำปีนี้

Bangchak Enters Dow Jones Sustainability Index (DJSI) Shines in The Sustainability Yearbook 2021 with Bronze Class Distinction
Bangchak Corporation Public Company Limited (BCP) has earned the Bronze Class distinction from DJSI’s Sustainability Leaders 2021 category for Oil and Gas Refining and Marketing. The accolade is confirmed in the The Sustainability Yearbook 2021 of S&P Global as well as Robeco SAM’s Dow Jones Sustainability Index (DJSI)

2020 was a very challenging year for Bangchak Group as we were impacted by COVID-19 and global oil price fluctuation. But with good management system, preparedness and risk management system, we were able to stand firm and to maintain the standard of conducting business effectively while meeting the needs of consumers.

Bangchak has participated in the DJSI assessment based on business operation and sustainable organizational development, covering environmental, social and corporate governance aspects, for seven years. This year, Bangchak received a score of 83 and was ranked 4th among Thai companies in the Oil and Gas Refining and Marketing sector. As a result, it is included in the Sustainability Yearbook 2021 which considered over 7000 companies assessed in the 2020 Corporate Sustainability Assessment (CSA), whereby only 630 sustainability leaders were selected for this year’s Yearbook based on their S&P Global ESG Scores.
