เคทีซีร่วมหนุนความเท่าเทียมในสังคม ขอดูแลสวัสดิภาพคู่ชีวิตของพนักงานที่มีความหลากหลายทางเพศและคู่สมรสที่ไม่ได้จดทะเบียน เป็นสถาบันการเงินแห่งแรกในไทย
นายระเฑียร ศรีมงคล ประธานเจ้าหน้าที่บริหาร “เคทีซี” หรือ บริษัท บัตรกรุงไทย จำกัด (มหาชน) เปิดเผยว่า “เคทีซีให้ความสำคัญกับการขับเคลื่อนธุรกิจให้เติบโตอย่างยั่งยืน ทั้งคำนึงถึงสิ่งแวดล้อม สังคมและบรรษัทภิบาล (Environmental, Social and Governance: ESG) โดยเฉพาะการให้ ‘โอกาส’ และ ‘ความเท่าเทียมในสังคม’ ตามเป้าหมายการพัฒนาอย่างยั่งยืนขององค์การสหประชาชาติ (Sustainable Development Goals: SDGs) ผ่านการสร้างโอกาสในการเข้าถึงผลิตภัณฑ์และบริการทางการเงินอย่างเท่าเทียม เพื่อเสริมสร้างคุณภาพชีวิตความเป็นอยู่ของคนในสังคมบนพื้นฐานการเคารพสิทธิมนุษยชน รวมถึงความเท่าเทียมทางเพศ (Gender Equality) ทั้งในเรื่องการจ้างงานเพื่อลดช่องว่างในตลาดแรงงาน การปฏิบัติต่อบุคลากรในองค์กรทุกเพศ ทุกคนอย่างเท่าเทียม และคำนึงถึงทุกแง่มุมในการใช้ชีวิต ไม่ว่าจะเป็นการแต่งงาน สุขภาพ ครอบครัว และความก้าวหน้าในอาชีพมาโดยตลอด”
“วันนี้เคทีซีจึงขอเป็นสถาบันการเงินตั้งต้นที่ได้มีโอกาสดูแลและมอบความห่วงใยให้กับบุคลากรเคทีซีที่มี “คู่ชีวิตเพศเดียวกันโดยกำเนิด” และอยู่ร่วมกันเป็นครอบครัว อีกทั้งช่วยเหลืออุปการะเลี้ยงดูซึ่งกันและกัน โดยฝ่ายหนึ่งฝ่ายใดต้องไม่มีคู่สมรสหรือคู่ชีวิตอยู่ในปัจจุบัน และ “คู่สมรสที่ไม่ได้จดทะเบียน” อันได้แก่ บุคคลต่างเพศที่อยู่กินด้วยกันฉันสามีภริยาโดยเปิดเผย แต่ไม่ได้จดทะเบียนสมรสตามกฎหมาย โดยฝ่ายหนึ่งฝ่ายใดต้องไม่มีคู่สมรสหรือคู่ชีวิตอยู่ในปัจจุบัน โดยทุกกลุ่มจะได้รับสิทธิเหมือนคู่สมรสทุกประการ อาทิ สวัสดิการประกันสุขภาพทุกระดับตำแหน่ง เงินสวัสดิการช่วยเหลือกรณีแต่งงานและกรณีครอบครัวเสียชีวิต การปฏิบัติที่เท่าเทียมต่อความหลากหลายทางเพศ (LGBTQI+) ในครั้งนี้ ถือเป็นอีกหนึ่งจุดยืนของเคทีซี เพื่อลดความเหลื่อมล้ำในสังคมไทยอย่างยั่งยืน”

“Today, KTC would like to be the first mover financial institution that takes care of its personnel with “same-sex partners” who live together as a family and help and nurture each other, and neither party is already married or in a civil partnership, and “unregistered couples” which includes heterosexual couples who openly cohabit and present themselves as a married couple but are not legally registered, and neither party is already married or in a civil partnership. All groups are entitled to the same rights as with a married couple, including health insurance benefits for all positions, marriage and bereavement benefits, and treatment in line with LGBTQI+ gender equality. This marks yet another milestone for KTC that sustainably reduces inequality in Thai society.”
