บริษัท บ้านปู จำกัด (มหาชน) ผู้นำด้านพลังงานที่หลากหลายในระดับนานาชาติ เร่งขยายพอร์ตโฟลิโอด้านพลังงานที่เป็นมิตรต่อสิ่งแวดล้อมอย่างต่อเนื่อง ด้วยการเข้าลงทุนในธุรกิจเทคโนโลยีพลังงานในประเทศเวียดนาม ผ่านบริษัท BRE Singapore Pte. Ltd. (BRES) ซึ่งเป็นบริษัทในเครือของ Banpu NEXT ที่บ้านปูถือหุ้นร้อยละ 50 โดย BRES ได้ลงนามในสัญญาซื้อขายหุ้น (Shares Subscription Agreement: SSA) เพื่อเข้าซื้อหุ้นในอัตราร้อยละ 49.04 ของ Solar Esco Joint Stock Company ซึ่งเป็นบริษัทพลังงานหมุนเวียนชั้นนำของเวียดนามที่ให้บริการแพลตฟอร์มโซลาร์รูฟท็อปแบบครบวงจร โดยคาดว่ากระบวนการซื้อขายจะแล้วเสร็จภายในไตรมาสที่สองของปี 2565 ถือเป็นอีกหนึ่งก้าวสำคัญในการเสริมอัตราเร่งเพื่อก้าวสู่เป้าหมายที่จะมี EBITDA มากกว่าร้อยละ 50 จากธุรกิจพลังงานที่สะอาดขึ้นและเทคโนโลยีพลังงานภายในปี 2568
นางสมฤดี ชัยมงคล ประธานเจ้าหน้าที่บริหาร บริษัท บ้านปู จำกัด (มหาชน) กล่าวว่า “ตลอดช่วง 2 ปี ที่ผ่านมา บ้านปูได้เข้าลงทุนพอร์ตพลังงานสะอาดในเวียดนามอย่างต่อเนื่อง โดยมีกำลังการผลิตรวม 218 เมกะวัตต์ สำหรับการลงทุนในครั้งนี้ นับเป็นอีกหนึ่งก้าวสำคัญในการขยายขอบข่ายพอร์ตพลังงานสะอาดของเราสู่ธุรกิจเทคโนโลยีพลังงานในเวียดนามเป็นครั้งแรก โดยเฉพาะแพลตฟอร์มโซลาร์รูฟท็อปแบบครบวงจร ส่งผลให้เกิดการประสานพลังระหว่างบ้านปู และ Solar Esco เพื่อส่งเสริมจุดแข็งและต่อยอดธุรกิจซึ่งกันและกัน รวมทั้งการแลกเปลี่ยนความรู้และความเชี่ยวชาญระหว่างกัน ซึ่งเป็นการต่อยอดกลยุทธ์ Greener & Smarter และเสริมสร้างความแข็งแกร่งให้กับระบบนิเวศด้านพลังงานของบ้านปู (Banpu Ecosystem) ให้ครบวงจรยิ่งขึ้น และยังสามารถสร้างกระแสเงินสดได้ทันที”
ทั้งนี้ Solar Esco Joint Stock Company เป็นบริษัทด้านพลังงานหมุนเวียนชั้นนำของเวียดนาม ซึ่งเป็นผู้ให้บริการแพลตฟอร์มโซลาร์รูฟท็อปแบบครบวงจร ซึ่งครอบคลุมทั้งการวางแผน การพัฒนา ตลอดจนให้บริการแบบ EPC (Engineering, Procurement and Construction) ตั้งแต่การออกแบบ ก่อสร้าง และติดตั้ง รวมถึงการให้บริการ O&M เดินระบบและดูแลบำรุงรักษาโซลาร์เซลล์ ด้วยประสบการณ์ 15 ปี ในการให้บริการและทำงานร่วมกับกลุ่มพันธมิตรที่หลากหลายทั่วประเทศ ทั้งศูนย์การค้า โรงงานและนิคมอุตสาหกรรม และคลังสินค้า โดยปัจจุบันมีกำลังการผลิตรวม 20.4 เมกะวัตต์ และมีกำลังการผลิตที่อยู่ในแผนอีก 106 เมกะวัตต์
การเข้าถือหุ้นใน Solar Esco ด้วยมูลค่าการลงทุน 14.5 ล้านเหรียญสหรัฐ (ประมาณ 466 ล้านบาท) ในครั้งนี้ เป็นการต่อยอดธุรกิจเทคโนโลยีพลังงานและขยายแพลต์ฟอร์มพลังงานฉลาดของบ้านปู เพื่อเสริมสร้างธุรกิจโซลาร์รูฟท็อปในการขยายตลาดและฐานลูกค้าในต่างประเทศ นอกจากนั้น การสร้างพันธมิตรในครั้งนี้ยังส่งผลให้ดีต่อโอกาสใหม่ ๆ ในการลงทุนในธุรกิจที่เกี่ยวข้องในอนาคต เช่น การผลิตแผงโซลาร์ ระบบไมโครกริดบนเกาะ กังหันลมขนาดเล็ก และโซลูชันสมาร์ทโฮม เป็นต้น

Banpu Expands Green Portfolio by Venturing into Energy Technology Business in Vietnam
Banpu Public Company Limited, a leading international versatile energy provider, has continued its expansion of green energy portfolio by venturing into energy technology business sphere in Vietnam. Recently, BRE Singapore Pte. Ltd. (BRES), a wholly owned subsidiary company of Banpu NEXT Co., Ltd., in which Banpu holds 50% shareholding, has signed a Shares Subscription Agreement (SSA) for the purchase of 49.04% shareholding in Solar Esco Joint Stock Company,
a leading renewable energy company and provider of integrated solar rooftop platform in Vietnam. The transaction, expected to be completed by the second quarter of 2022, is a part of Banpu’s acceleration plan toward achieving the goal of increasing EBITDA contribution from greener energy and energy technology businesses to over 50% by 2025.
