ดร.ทวีลาภ ฤทธาภิรมย์ กรรมการและผู้จัดการธนาคารอิสลามแห่งประเทศไทย (ไอแบงก์) พร้อมด้วยคณะผู้บริหาร ให้การต้อนรับ Ms. Husne Ara Shikha, Executive Director of Bangladesh Bank (Central Bank of Bangladesh) และคณะ ในโอกาสเดินทางมาศึกษาดูงานภายใต้หัวข้อ “Ongoing Initiatives or Projects, Especially; Small Business or SME or Financial Inclusion” ในการเยี่ยมชมครั้งนี้ คณะผู้แทนได้รับฟังการนำเสนอโครงการที่ไอแบงก์ริเริ่มเพื่อสนับสนุนลูกค้ารายย่อยและกลุ่ม SMEs โดยเฉพาะโครงการสินเชื่อชุมชนซื่อสัตย์ ซึ่งเป็นโครงการที่มีแนวคิดใกล้เคียงกับโครงการไมโครไฟแนนซ์ของ Grameen Bank ประเทศบังกลาเทศ แต่มีความโดดเด่นเฉพาะตัว เนื่องจากไอแบงก์ใช้มัสยิดเป็นศูนย์กลางในการดำเนินโครงการ โดยการให้สินเชื่อแก่สัปปุรุษในพื้นที่ชุมชน นับเป็นนวัตกรรมทางการเงินที่ผสานแนวคิดด้านความเชื่อและความมั่นคงทางเศรษฐกิจอย่างลงตัว กิจกรรมดังกล่าวจัดขึ้น ณ สำนักงานใหญ่ ธนาคารอิสลามแห่งประเทศไทย อาคารนวม เมื่อวันที่ 15 มกราคม 2568 โดยได้รับการตอบรับอย่างดีจากคณะผู้แทนที่เข้าร่วม ซึ่งแสดงความสนใจในแนวทางและความสำเร็จของโครงการดังกล่าวในประเทศไทย

ibank Welcomes Delegates from Bangladesh Bank for a Study Visit to the “Honest Community Project”
Dr. Thaweelap Rittapirom, Director and President of the Islamic Bank of Thailand (ibank), together with the executive team, welcomed Ms. Husne Ara Shikha, Executive Director of Bangladesh Bank (Central Bank of Bangladesh), and her delegation during their visit to study under the theme, “Ongoing Initiatives or Projects, Especially; Small Business or SME or Financial Inclusion.”
During the visit, the delegation was introduced to projects initiated by ibank to support individual customers and SMEs, particularly the Honest Community Project. This project shares similarities with the microfinance initiatives of Grameen Bank in Bangladesh but is uniquely distinguished by ibank’s approach of using mosques as community hubs for providing financial services to congregants. This innovative financial model seamlessly integrates faith-based principles with economic security, making it a standout initiative.
The visit was held at the ibank Headquarters, Nuam Building, on January 15, 2025. It received positive feedback from the delegation, who expressed great interest in the project’s approach and its success in Thailand.
