SCGC จับมือ พระจอมเกล้าลาดกระบัง ต่อยอดงานวิจัยเชิงพาณิชย์เร่งสร้างนวัตกรรมเพื่ออนาคต ตอบโจทย์เมกะเทรนด์โลกยกระดับคุณภาพชีวิตผู้คน
บริษัท เอสซีจี เคมิคอลส์ จำกัด (มหาชน) หรือ SCGC และสถาบันเทคโนโลยีพระจอมเกล้าเจ้าคุณทหารลาดกระบัง หรือ สจล. ลงนามความร่วมมือทางวิชาการในการพัฒนาเทคโนโลยีและทรัพย์สินทางปัญญาที่ สจล. ริเริ่ม เพื่อต่อยอดสู่งานวิจัยเชิงพาณิชย์ สนับสนุนให้เกิดความก้าวหน้าทางวิทยาศาสตร์และเทคโนโลยี ผลักดันนวัตกรรมที่ตอบโจทย์เมกะเทรนด์โลก โดย SCGC ผู้นำธุรกิจเคมีภัณฑ์เพื่อความยั่งยืนในระดับภูมิภาคพร้อมจะขับเคลื่อนนำงานวิจัย หาโอกาสใหม่ ๆ ทางธุรกิจ นำไปสู่นวัตกรรมที่จับต้องได้จริงและเป็นมิตรกับสิ่งแวดล้อม เพื่อช่วยยกระดับคุณภาพชีวิต และลดผลกระทบต่อภาวะโลกร้อน โดยนำศักยภาพของทีมผู้เชี่ยวชาญจากศูนย์พัฒนานวัตกรรมและสินค้า i2P Center (Ideas to Products) จาก SCGC ผนวกกับความแข็งแกร่งทางวิชาการและการวิจัยด้านเทคโนโลยีของ สจล. ซึ่งจะช่วยสร้างการเปลี่ยนแปลงด้านนวัตกรรมที่สำคัญในอนาคต
นายนิวัฒน์ อธิวัฒนานนท์ ผู้อำนวยการเทคโนโลยี SCGC กล่าวว่า “SCGC ผู้นำธุรกิจเคมีภัณฑ์เพื่อความยั่งยืนในระดับภูมิภาค มุ่งสร้างสรรค์นวัตกรรมเคมีภัณฑ์เพื่อขับเคลื่อนเศรษฐกิจและพัฒนาคุณภาพชีวิตของผู้คนตามแนวทาง ESG โดยเน้นพัฒนาสินค้าและโซลูชันที่มีมูลค่าเพิ่มสูง (High Value-Added Products & Solutions หรือ HVA) ตอบโจทย์เมกะเทรนด์โลกใน 5 กลุ่มอุตสาหกรรมหลัก ได้แก่ โครงสร้างพื้นฐาน บรรจุภัณฑ์ การแพทย์และสุขภาพ โซลูชันด้านพลังงาน และยานยนต์ โดย SCGC มีความพร้อมที่จะขับเคลื่อนงานวิจัยสู่เชิงพาณิชย์ เนื่องจากมีศูนย์วิจัยและพัฒนานวัตกรรมทั้งในประเทศไทยและต่างประเทศ รวมถึงมีความร่วมมือกับพันธมิตรระดับโลกและเครือข่ายนวัตกรรมแบบเปิด (Open Innovation) กับสถาบันชั้นนำทั่วโลก นอกจากนี้ ยังมีศูนย์พัฒนานวัตกรรมและสินค้า i2P Center (Ideas to Products) ที่จังหวัดระยอง โดยเปลี่ยนความต้องการของลูกค้าให้กลายเป็นนวัตกรรมสินค้าและโซลูชันต่าง ๆ ที่ใช้งานได้จริง ตอบโจทย์ความต้องการที่หลากหลายควบคู่ไปกับการดูแลสิ่งแวดล้อม การลดใช้พลังงาน และลดปริมาณก๊าซเรือนกระจก เมื่อผนวกกับความแข็งแกร่งทางวิชาการและการวิจัยด้านเทคโนโลยีของ สจล. ที่ได้รับการยอมรับว่าเป็นมหาวิทยาลัยแห่งนวัตกรรม จึงเชื่อมั่นว่าจะเร่งให้เกิดนวัตกรรมเพื่ออนาคต นำไปสู่โอกาสทางธุรกิจ และช่วยยกระดับคุณภาพชีวิตของผู้คนต่อไป”
รองศาสตราจารย์ ดร.คมสัน มาลีสี รักษาการแทนอธิการบดี สถาบันเทคโนโลยีพระจอมเกล้าเจ้าคุณทหารลาดกระบัง (สจล.) กล่าวว่า “พระจอมเกล้าลาดกระบัง เป็นสถาบันการศึกษาที่ก่อตั้งมานานกว่า 60 ปี ตลอดระยะเวลาที่ผ่านมาเรามุ่งพัฒนาประเทศไทยด้วยวิทยาศาสตร์และเทคโนโลยี สร้างสรรค์งานวิจัยและนวัตกรรมสู่สังคมโลกมาอย่างต่อเนื่อง เรามีทั้งบุคลากรที่มีคุณภาพ ห้องปฏิบัติการและเครื่องมือที่ทันสมัย พร้อมให้เรียนรู้และทำงานได้จริง และเมื่อเร็ว ๆ นี้ ยังได้รับการจัดอันดับให้เป็นมหาวิทยาลัยอันดับ 1 ของประเทศ จากการจัดอันดับมหาวิทยาลัย โดย Times Higher Education World University Rankings 2021 (Asia-Pacific) ในด้านงานวิจัย (Research) และด้าน Industry Income นอกจากนี้ สจล. ยังมีเป้าหมายที่จะเป็น The world master of innovation เจ้าแห่งนวัตกรรมระดับโลก มีการเตรียมบุคลากรที่เป็นนักวิจัย นักคิดที่ดี สร้างสรรค์เป็น Global citizen ด้วยการร่วมมือกับทุกภาคส่วน รวมทั้งสถานประกอบการที่มีการสร้างนวัตกรรมอย่างต่อเนื่อง จากความพร้อมทั้งทางด้านวิชาการ วิจัย บุคลากร นักศึกษา สจล. จึงมีความยินดีที่จะสนับสนุนและผลักดันให้ความร่วมมือทางวิชาการกับบริษัท เอสซีจี เคมิคอลส์ จำกัด (มหาชน) หรือ SCGC บรรลุตามวัตถุประสงค์ ส่งเสริมให้สถาบันไปสู่เป้าหมาย และพร้อมพัฒนาประเทศไปพร้อม ๆ กับหน่วยงานเครือข่าย”
นอกจากนี้ ภายในงานยังมีการจัดแสดงนวัตกรรมเพื่อตอบโจทย์เมกะเทรนด์จาก สจล. อาทิ การแพทย์ พลังงานทางเลือก และนวัตกรรมต้นแบบอื่น ๆ ที่พร้อมต่อยอดไปสู่การใช้งานจริง และจะช่วยพัฒนาคุณภาพชีวิตของผู้คนได้ในอนาคต

SCGC joins hands with KMITL to commercialize research and accelerate innovation development in response to megatrends to enhance the quality of life
Bangkok: SCG Chemicals Public Company Limited (SCGC) and King Mongkut’s Institute of Technology Ladkrabang (KMITL) have signed a memorandum of understanding on academic collaboration to build upon technologies and intellectual properties initially developed by KMITL towards commercial research in order to promote scientific and technological advancement and drive innovations that respond to global megatrends. As a regional leader of the petrochemical business for sustainability, SCGC is ready to push forward research and create new business opportunities that will lead to tangible and eco-friendly innovations in order to enhance the quality of life and mitigate the impacts of global warming. To this end, SCGC will be leveraging the capabilities of its expert team at i2P Center (Ideas to Products) in combination with KMITL’s academic rigor and tech research prowess, which will contribute to significant innovation shifts in the future.
