โออาร์ ร่วมกับ โตโยต้า ทูโช และ อีวีโลโม เพื่อพัฒนามาตรฐานแบตเตอรี่และขยายเครือข่ายสถานีสลับแบตเตอรี่ (Battery Swapping Station) สำหรับรถจักรยานยนต์ไฟฟ้า มุ่งสู่การเป็นผู้ให้บริการ Platform ของธุรกิจยานยนต์ไฟฟ้าเต็มรูปแบบ ยกระดับการให้บริการการเคลื่อนที่ หรือ Mobility as a Service (MaaS) ตามพันธกิจการสร้าง Seamless Mobility
นายแมตต์ เมอร์เรย์ เจ้าหน้าที่อาวุโสของสหรัฐฯ ด้านความร่วมมือทางเศรษฐกิจเอเชีย-แปซิฟิก (เอเปก) สถานเอกอัครราชทูตสหรัฐอเมริกาประจำประเทศไทย ร่วมแสดงความยินดีในการลงนามความร่วมมือโครงการพัฒนามาตรฐานแบตเตอรี่และขยายสถานีสลับแบตเตอรี่ เพื่อยกระดับการให้บริการการเคลื่อนที่ (Mobility as a Service) ในกลุ่มยานพาหนะสองล้อไฟฟ้า ระหว่าง บริษัท ปตท. น้ำมันและการค้าปลีก จำกัด (มหาชน) (โออาร์) บริษัท โตโยต้า ทูโช (ไทยแลนด์) จำกัด ซึ่งเป็น บริษัทเทรดดิ้งในเครือโตโยต้ากรุ๊ป และ บริษัท อีวีโลโม เทคโนโลยีย์ จำกัด ผู้ดำเนินธุรกิจด้าน EV Charging Solution ครบวงจรจากสหรัฐอเมริกา โดยมี นางสาวจิราพร ขาวสวัสดิ์ ประธานเจ้าหน้าที่บริหารและกรรมการผู้จัดการใหญ่ โออาร์ พร้อมด้วย นายโนบุฟูมิ มิอุระ กรรมการและรองกรรมการผู้จัดการใหญ่ บริษัท โตโยต้า ทูโช (ไทยแลนด์) จำกัด และ นางสาวนิโคล หวู่ ประธานเจ้าหน้าที่บริหาร EVLOMO Group ร่วมลงนาม
ความร่วมมือในครั้งนี้เป็นการนำจุดแข็งของพันธมิตรทั้ง 3 บริษัทเข้ามาผสานกัน โดย โตโยต้า ทูโช จะพัฒนาแบตเตอรี่ด้วยเทคโนโลยีขั้นสูง ส่วน อีวีโลโม จะเป็นผู้วางเครือข่ายสถานีในการสลับแบตเตอรี่ (Battery swap Station) ซึ่งรองรับด้วย application ที่จะอำนวยความสะดวกในการใช้งาน และผสานเข้ากับการส่งเสริมความต้องการใช้รถจักรยานยนต์ไฟฟ้าผ่านกลุ่มลูกค้าของ โออาร์ ทั้ง B2B และ B2C ผ่านเครือข่าย PTT station และ Café Amazon ซึ่งมีสาขากระจายอยู่ครอบคลุมทั่วประเทศ สร้างโอกาสการเข้าถึงบริการ รวมไปถึงการนำข้อมูลการใช้งานจักรยานยนต์ไฟฟ้า มาวิเคราะห์เพื่อโอกาสในการพัฒนาผลิตภัณฑ์และบริการที่ตอบโจทย์การใช้งานอย่างแท้จริง
นายแมตต์ เมอร์เรย์ เจ้าหน้าที่อาวุโสของสหรัฐฯ ด้านความร่วมมือทางเศรษฐกิจเอเชีย-แปซิฟิก (เอเปก) สถานเอกอัครราชทูตสหรัฐอเมริกาประจำประเทศไทย กล่าวว่า ความร่วมมือระหว่าง 3 บริษัทชั้นจากสหรัฐอเมริกา ประเทศไทย และประเทศญี่ปุ่นในวันนี้ถือเป็นก้าวสำคัญในการสร้างระบบนิเวศยานยนต์ไฟฟ้า (EV Ecosyetem) ให้เกิดขึ้นในประเทศไทย ซึ่งจะช่วยจูงใจให้ผู้ผลิต ผู้ขาย และผู้บริโภคในการหันมาปรับใช้เทคโนโลยีที่จะช่วยลดการปล่อยก๊าซเรือนกระจกสุทธิให้เป็นศูนย์ (Zero emission) และถือเป็นตัวอย่างที่ดีของความร่วมมือที่เราอยากส่งเสริมให้เกิดขึ้นผ่านทางกรอบความร่วมมือเศรษฐกิจอินโด-แปซิฟิก ซึ่งเป็นกรอบความร่วมมือล่าสุดของสหรัฐฯ โดยมีเรื่องโครงสร้างพื้นฐาน พลังงานสะอาด และการลดคาร์บอนเป็นหนึ่งในเสาหลักที่สำคัญ
นางสาวจิราพร ขาวสวัสดิ์ ประธานเจ้าหน้าที่บริหารและกรรมการผู้จัดการใหญ่ บริษัท ปตท. น้ำมันและการค้าปลีก จำกัด (มหาชน) หรือ โออาร์ เปิดเผยว่า ความร่วมมือกับ โตโยต้า ทูโช และ อีวีโลโม ในครั้งนี้ เป็นอีกก้าวสำคัญในการส่งเสริมรูปแบบการเดินทางด้วยรถจักรยานยนต์ไฟฟ้าให้เกิดขึ้นในประเทศไทย โดยการร่วมพัฒนาแบตเตอรี่ รวมทั้งขยายเครือข่ายสถานีสลับแบตเตอรี่ ซึ่งจะช่วยยกระดับการให้บริการการเคลื่อนที่ (Mobility as a Service : MaaS) ในกลุ่มยานพาหนะสองล้อไฟฟ้า ตลอดจนพัฒนาธุรกิจยานยนต์ไฟฟ้าอย่างเต็มรูปแบบ เพื่อที่ โออาร์ จะก้าวสู่การเป็นผู้นำในระบบนิเวศยานยนต์ไฟฟ้า (EV Ecosystem) อย่างแท้จริง ซึ่งเป็นไปตามพันธกิจของ โออาร์ ในการสร้าง Seamless Mobility ที่มุ่งตอบสนองความต้องการของผู้บริโภคเพื่อให้การเปลี่ยนผ่านการใช้พลังงานเป็นไปอย่างไร้รอยต่อ อีกทั้งยังสอดคล้องกับหนึ่งในเป้าหมายของ โออาร์ ในการสร้างสิ่งแวดล้อมที่อุดมสมบูรณ์ (Healthy Environment) โดยลดการปล่อยก๊าซเรือนกระจกที่ครอบคลุมตลอดทั้งการดำเนินธุรกิจ เพิ่มสัดส่วนการใช้พลังงานสะอาด ผ่านการส่งเสริมการใช้ยานยนต์ไฟฟ้า เพื่อบรรลุความเป็นกลางทางคาร์บอน (Carbon-Neutrality) ภายในปี 2030 และบรรลุการปล่อยคาร์บอนสุทธิเป็นศูนย์ (Net Zero Carbon) ภายในปี 2050 อีกด้วย
นายโนบุฟูมิ มิอุระ กรรมการและรองกรรมการผู้จัดการใหญ่ บริษัท โตโยต้า ทูโช (ไทยแลนด์) จำกัด เปิดเผยว่า เรารู้สึกยินดีที่ได้มีส่วนร่วมในการมุ่งสู่ความเป็นกลางของคาร์บอน โดยใช้ความรู้และเทคโนโลยีด้านแบตเตอรี่ ที่มีฟังก์ชันและบริการที่มีเอกลักษณ์เฉพาะของ Toyota Tsusho ซึ่งถือเป็นหนึ่งในกุญแจสำคัญสู่ความสำเร็จในการส่งเสริมให้ประเทศไทยเปลี่ยนมาใช้พลังงานไฟฟ้าในอนาคต และเชื่อว่าการร่วมมือกับ OR และ EVLOMO จะช่วยยกระดับการเปลี่ยนมาใช้รถ EV ในประเทศไทย
นางสาวนิโคล หวู่ ประธานเจ้าหน้าที่บริหาร EVLOMO Group เปิดเผยว่า ความร่วมมือกับ โออาร์ และ โตโยต้า ทูโช ในครั้งนี้ ถือเป็นครั้งแรกของความร่วมมือในกลุ่มยานพาหนะสองล้อไฟฟ้า เราหวังว่าจะเป็นการกระตุ้นให้เกิดความสนใจในการเปลี่ยนมาใช้รถจักรยานยนต์ไฟฟ้าเพิ่มขึ้นในประเทศไทย และหวังว่าเครือข่ายสถานีเปลี่ยนแบตเตอรี่ของ อีวีโลโม จะส่งเสริมให้การใช้รถจักรยานยนต์ไฟฟ้าและการสร้างระบบนิเวศยานยนต์ไฟฟ้า (EV Ecosystem) ในประเทศไทย เป็นไปอย่างสะดวกง่ายดายยิ่งขึ้น นอกจากนี้ ด้วยความเชี่ยวชาญและเทคโนโลยีอันล้ำสมัยของ โตโยต้า ทูโช ประกอบกับเครือข่ายที่ครอบคลุมของ โออาร์ จะเป็นการสร้างมูลค่าเพิ่มและช่วยให้ อีวีโลโม เป็นที่รู้จักในฐานะของผู้ให้บริการด้านนวัตกรรม และช่วยให้เรามุ่งสู่เป้าหมายยร่วมกันในการพัฒนาอุตสาหกรรมยานยนต์ไฟฟ้าให้เติบโตอย่างยั่งยืนในประเทศไทย

OR, Toyota Tsusho and EVLOMO enter into Strategic MoU to build electric two-wheeler ecosystem across Thailand.
BANGKOK, Thailand, July 12th, 2022. PTT Oil and Retail Business Public Company Limited (OR), leading operator in oil and retail business in Thailand, Toyota Tsusho, the trading affiliate in the Toyota Group companies, and EVLOMO, a leading provider of energy infrastructure and services for eMobility with the vision of creating a sustainable society, signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) to collaborate on battery standards development and battery swapping station expansion to elevate Mobility as a Service (MaaS) for electric two wheelers
The signing ceremony took place at OR Phrakanong Office, Bangkok, Thailand. Jiraphon Kawswat, President and CEO of OR, Nobufumi Miura – Director and Executive VP from Toyota Tsusho, and Nicole Wu, Group CEO of EVLOMO signed the MOU on behalf of their respective parties. The signing ceremony was attended by Matt Murray, U.S. Senior Official for Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation (APEC), Bureau Of East Asian And Pacific Affairs, Edwin Sagurton, Economic Counselor, Evan Fox Deputy Economic Counselor at United States Embassy Bangkok, senior officials from the Royal Thai Government, and senior management from OR, Toyota Tsusho and EVLOMO.
OR, Toyota Tsusho and EVLOMO have decided to capitalize on each of their strengths to make the most out of each other’s deep knowledge of technology, the Thai market, and electric vehicles (EVs) to drive new product development in the next few years.
The parties intend to work together to provide smart battery technology and a management platform to support EV Mobility-as-a-Service (MaaS) and introduce an innovative Battery-as-a-Service program that allows for batteries and energy to be subscribed by customers when they purchase electric two wheelers to ensure quicker adoption of eMobility.
Further, the collaboration is expected to target Thailand’s huge two-wheeler market by matching initial demand of two wheelers from potential customers either in form of Business to Business (B2B) or the Business to Customer model (B2C) and by creating a large, dedicated battery swapping station network to accelerate electric mobility in Thailand. This partnership will further ensure quicker EV adoption in Thailand among two-wheeler customers who aspire to take a step in going electric.
OR, Toyota Tsusho and EVLOMO will together gauge market conditions and collaborate to create an ecosystem where the customer has access to the latest battery technologies throughout the lifecycle of their EVs without incurring repetitive costs of battery purchase via the provision of battery-as-a-service under a subscription model and seamless access to network of battery swapping station across Thailand.
Jiraphon Kawswat, President and CEO of OR, remarked, “Together with Toyota Tsusho and EVLOMO, we will bring mass adoption of electric two wheelers to Thailand. OR has served customers on-the-go for years across Thailand. With the transition to eMobility across the world, we want to play a pivotal role in Thailand’s adoption of Mobility as a Service (MaaS) for electric two wheelers by collaborating on battery standards development and battery swapping station expansion.”
Nicole Wu, Group CEO of EVLOMO, said, “The collaboration with OR and Toyota Tsusho is the first such partnership in electric two-wheeler segment. Matt Murray, U.S. Senior Official for Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation (APEC), noted, “Today’s agreement between U.S., Japanese, and Thai firms is an important step in creating an EV ecosystem in Thailand that provides manufacturers, retailers, and consumers with the right incentives to expand the use of critical, zero-emission technologies. This kind of commercial engagement, underpinned by enabling government policies and facilitated by our work at APEC, exemplifies the kind of cooperation we hope to enable through our new Indo-Pacific Economic Framework, which includes a specific pillar on clean energy and decarbonization.”
