ORZON Ventures กองทุนซึ่งก่อตั้งขึ้นจากความร่วมมือของ OR และกองทุน 500 TukTuks เมื่อเดือนตุลาคม 2564 ที่ผ่านมา ประกาศเข้าลงทุนในสตาร์ทอัพ 5 รายแรก ร่วมผนึกกำลัง เพิ่มความหลากหลายทางธุรกิจ สร้าง New S-Curve ต่อยอดการดำเนินธุรกิจด้าน Mobility และ Lifestyle เพื่อมอบประสบการณ์ใหม่ ๆ และความสะดวกสบายให้กับผู้บริโภค
นางสาวจิราพร ขาวสวัสดิ์ ประธานเจ้าหน้าที่บริหารและกรรมการผู้จัดการใหญ่ บริษัท ปตท. น้ำมันและการค้าปลีก จำกัด (มหาชน) หรือ OR เปิดเผยว่า OR ได้จัดตั้งกองทุน “ออร์ซอน เวนเจอร์ส” (ORZON Ventures, L.P.) โดยร่วมกับกองทุน 500 TukTuks เพื่อแสวงหาและสนับสนุนสตาร์ทอัพใหม่ในระดับซีรีย์ A-B ซึ่งเป็นระยะเริ่มต้น โดยมุ่งเน้นทั้งธุรกิจที่เกี่ยวข้องกับ โออาร์ และธุรกิจใหม่ภายใต้กรอบ Mobility & Lifestyle เพื่อสร้างความแข็งแกร่งทางธุรกิจและสร้างความเติบโตระยะยาว
“โออาร์ รู้สึกยินดีเป็นอย่างยิ่งที่จะแจ้งความคืบหน้าของ ORZON Ventures ในการลงทุนในสตาร์ทอัพ 5 รายแรก ได้แก่ ‘Pomelo’ ‘Carsome’ ‘Freshket’ ‘GoWabi’ และ ‘Protomate’ ซึ่งล้วนเป็นสตาร์ทอัพที่กำลังเติบโตอย่างรวดเร็วทั้งในประเทศไทยและในแถบเอเชียตะวันออกเฉียงใต้ ดำเนินธุรกิจที่จะมอบประสบการณ์ใหม่ ตอบโจทย์ไลฟ์สไตล์หรือการใช้ชีวิตของผู้บริโภค และสอดคล้องกับทิศทางในการดำเนินธุรกิจของ OR ที่มุ่งเติมเต็มโอกาสเพื่อทุกการเติบโตร่วมกัน ด้วยการเสาะแสวงหาธุรกิจใหม่ ๆ โดยให้ความสำคัญในการส่งเสริมความร่วมมือกับ ‘คนตัวเล็ก’ ทั้งในรูปแบบของการเป็นพันธมิตรทางธุรกิจ และการลงทุนใน SMEs หรือสตาร์ทอัพซึ่งมีจุดแข็งในด้านศักยภาพการใช้เทคโนโลยี มีความสามารถในการปรับตัวต่อการเปลี่ยนแปลงได้อย่างรวดเร็ว เพื่อที่จะพัฒนาต่อยอดธุรกิจให้ก้าวไกลกว่าธุรกิจน้ำมันที่มีการเปลี่ยนแปลงอย่างรวดเร็ว การร่วมงานกับ 500 Tuktuks ในครั้งนี้ ถือเป็นโอกาสที่ OR ได้ใช้เครือข่ายสตาร์ทอัพทั้งในไทยและเอเชียตะวันออกเฉียงใต้ เปิดโอกาสการร่วมมือกันพัฒนาโครงการ Synergy กับสตาร์ทอัพที่มีศักยภาพ ในการนำเทคโนโลยีมาเป็นตัวขับเคลื่อน ช่วยต่อยอดธุรกิจ OR ที่มีอยู่เดิม”
ด้าน นายกระทิง พูนผล ผู้บริหาร (General Partner) กองทุน ORZON Ventures และ 500 TukTuks กล่าวถึงการลงทุนในครั้งนี้ไว้ว่า ORZON Ventures ได้สนับสนุนสตาร์ทอัพทั้ง 5 ราย ซึ่งล้วนเป็นสตาร์ทอัพที่มีผู้ก่อตั้งที่มากความสามารถ มีความมุ่งมั่นไม่ย่อท้อ และสามารถสร้างการเติบโตได้อย่างมั่นคง แม้จะได้รับผลกระทบจากโควิด 19 นับเป็นโอกาสอันดีที่สตาร์ทอัพเหล่านี้จะได้ร่วมมือกับ OR ในการพัฒนาธุรกิจให้ก้าวข้ามขีดจำกัดไปอีกขั้น อันจะนำมาซึ่งการเปลี่ยนแปลงที่ยิ่งใหญ่ในอุตสาหกรรมสตาร์ทอัพไทย นี่คือช่วงเวลาที่ดีที่สุดในการลงทุนเพราะนี่คือยุคทองของเอเชียตะวันออกเฉียงใต้ และจะมียูนิคอร์นเกิดขึ้นอีกมากมายในภูมิภาคนี้อย่างแน่นอน

รายละเอียดของสตาร์ทอัพทั้ง 5 บริษัทแรกที่ ORZON Ventures ร่วมลงทุน มีดังนี้
1.Pomelo แพลตฟอร์มและแบรนด์ฟาสต์แฟชั่นชั้นนำในเอเชียตะวันออกเฉียงใต้ที่มาพร้อมกับ concept “Tap Try Buy” ซึ่งแตกต่างและเป็นที่สนใจของลูกค้า ครอบคลุมการซื้อขายทั้งในรูปแบบออนไลน์และออฟไลน์ ปัจจุบันได้ผันตัวมาเป็น Omnichannel Enabler ที่มีแบรนด์เข้าร่วมแล้วมากกว่า 500 รายทั้งในและต่างประเทศ
2.Carsome แพลตฟอร์มที่มีซื้อ-ขายรถยนต์มือสองออนไลน์ที่ใหญ่ที่สุดในเอเชียตะวันออกเฉียงใต้ โดยเป็นตัวกลางในการซื้อหรือขายรถยนต์มือสอง มีนำเสนอบริการแบบครบวงจรตั้งแต่ต้นจนจบสำหรับลูกค้า และดีลเลอร์รถยนต์มือสองทุกราย ตั้งแต่การตรวจสภาพรถยนต์ การโอนกรรมสิทธิ์ ไปจนถึงบริการทางด้านสินเชื่อ
3.Freshket แพลตฟอร์มจำหน่ายวัตถุดิบครบวงจร สำหรับกลุ่มผู้ประกอบการ HoReCa (โรงแรม ร้านอาหาร และธุรกิจจัดเลี้ยง) และกลุ่มผู้บริโภคทั่วไป ที่มีเทคโนโลยีทันสมัยเป็นหัวใจสำคัญในการบริหารจัดการระบบอย่างมืออาชีพ ตั้งแต่ต้นน้ำถึงปลายน้ำ ปัจจุบัน freshket มีสินค้าทั้งของสด และของแห้งให้เลือกกว่า 7,000 รายการ มีผู้ใช้งาน HoReCa กว่า 10,000 ราย มีบริการจัดส่งที่รวดเร็ว และสามารถเลือกเวลาจัดส่งได้ตามสะดวก

ORZON Ventures announces investments in 5 startups to support entrepreneurs in Mobility and Lifestyle sectors.
ORZON Ventures, L.P. (“ORZON Ventures”), a venture capital fund that was launched in October 2021, has announced its first five investments in startups which aim to deliver new experiences and convenience to consumers in the mobility and lifestyle sectors.
Ms. Jiraporn Khaosawad, Chief Executive Officer and President of PTT Oil and Retail Business Public Company Limited (“OR”), shared that OR is investing through ORZON Ventures to support early-stage startups (Series A – B) in both OR-related businesses areas and in new businesses in the mobility and lifestyle sectors, in order to strengthen the businesses and create long-term growth. By investing in startups through ORZON Ventures, OR seeks to thrive beyond the oil business, realizing startups’ strengths in the use of technology and their adaptability to the rapidly changing economic landscape. Carsome
Carsome is a leading online platform for buying and selling used cars in SEA. With the aim to digitalize the region’s used car industry by reshaping and elevating the car buying and selling experience, Carsome provides end-to-end solutions to consumers and used car dealers, from car inspection to ownership transfer to financing, promising a service that is trusted, convenient and efficient.
Freshket
Freshket is an online food supply chain platform for HoReCa businesses and consumers, offering a variety of more than 7,000 items of fresh and dried food from quality suppliers. Through technology, Freshket aims to create transparency in the food supply chain which will result in fairer pricing to support all parties in the food supply ecosystem. With the focus on quality, freshness, convenience, and delivery speed, Freshket now has over 10,000 HoReCa customers.
GoWabi

Protomate is founded by Thai engineers with intensive industrial experiences at top tech companies in Silicon Valley, such as Apple, Waymo, and UC Berkley. The co-founders’ vision is to enhance the transportation and logistics industry for the ultimate safety, high productivity, and seamless user experience.
