เอสซีจี รุกธุรกิจ Automation ลงนามสัญญาซื้อหุ้นบริษัทเอ.ไอ.เทคโนโลยี พร้อมยกระดับอุตสาหกรรมไทยสู่โรงงานอัจฉริยะ Smart Factory 4.0
เอสซีจี เดินหน้ารุกธุรกิจ Automation หรือระบบอัตโนมัติ เพื่อขับเคลื่อนอุตสาหกรรมแห่งอนาคตด้วยนวัตกรรมและเทคโนโลยี โดยได้ลงนามในสัญญาซื้อหุ้นบริษัทเอ.ไอ.เทคโนโลยี จำกัด ผู้นำด้านธุรกิจการบูรณาการระบบอัตโนมัติ (Automation System Integration) ในประเทศไทย ขานรับความต้องการใช้งาน Automation ของผู้ประกอบการในภาคอุตสาหกรรมต่าง ๆ เพื่อช่วยเพิ่มมูลค่าทางธุรกิจและพัฒนาขีดความสามารถในการแข่งขัน พร้อมยกระดับอุตสาหกรรมไทยสู่โรงงานอัจฉริยะ หรือ Smart Factory 4.0 ทั้งนี้ เอสซีจีได้นำระบบ Automation มาใช้ในกระบวนการผลิตเพื่อเพิ่มประสิทธิภาพการดำเนินงาน เสริมสร้างศักยภาพด้านการออกแบบและพัฒนาระบบอัตโนมัติตามกลยุทธ์ด้านดิจิทัลมาอย่างต่อเนื่อง และพร้อมต่อยอดสู่ธุรกิจเพื่อให้บริการแก่ลูกค้าภายนอก
สำหรับการลงนามในสัญญาซื้อหุ้นในครั้งนี้ บริษัทซิเมนต์ไทยโฮลดิ้ง จำกัด ซึ่งเป็นบริษัทย่อยที่ถือหุ้นทั้งหมดโดย SCC ได้ลงนามเข้าถือหุ้นในสัดส่วนร้อยละ 51 ในบริษัทเอ.ไอ.เทคโนโลยี จำกัด ซึ่งเป็นผู้นำด้านธุรกิจการบูรณาการระบบอัตโนมัติ (Automation System Integration) ในประเทศไทย ที่มีความเชี่ยวชาญและประสบการณ์ในธุรกิจมาอย่างยาวนาน เมื่อวันที่ 2 กรกฎาคม 2564 โดยคาดว่าธุรกรรมจะแล้วเสร็จในไตรมาสที่ 4 ปี 2564 ทั้งนี้ผู้ถือหุ้นเดิมจะยังคงถือหุ้นร้อยละ 49 และบริหารกิจการร่วมกับบริษัทซิเมนต์ไทยโฮลดิ้ง จำกัด
นายศักดิ์ชัย ปฏิภาณปรีชาวุฒิ ผู้ช่วยผู้จัดการใหญ่ ธุรกิจเคมิคอลส์ เอสซีจี เผยว่า การลงนามในสัญญาซื้อหุ้นบริษัทเอ.ไอ.เทคโนโลยี เป็นอีกก้าวสำคัญของเอสซีจีในการพัฒนานวัตกรรมและเทคโนโลยีเพื่อยกระดับอุตสาหกรรมไทย ซึ่งความร่วมมือระหว่างเอสซีจี และเอ.ไอ.เทคโนโลยี ในครั้งนี้ ถือเป็นโอกาสในการเข้าสู่ธุรกิจ Automation เพื่อขับเคลื่อนอุตสาหกรรมแห่งอนาคตโดยนำระบบผลิตแบบอัตโนมัติมาใช้ในโรงงานอุตสาหกรรมตลอดทั้ง value chain ขณะนี้ภาคอุตสาหกรรมต่าง ๆ มีแนวโน้มความต้องการใช้ Automation เพิ่มสูงขึ้นอย่างต่อเนื่องตามนโยบายขับเคลื่อนประเทศไทยสู่ยุคอุตสาหกรรม 4.0 เพื่อเพิ่มความสามารถในการแข่งขันของประเทศ และส่งเสริมให้ผู้ประกอบการภาคอุตสาหกรรมสามารถพัฒนาและเชื่อมโยงการผลิตสินค้าและบริการผ่านการใช้นวัตกรรมและเทคโนโลยีที่ทันสมัย มุ่งสู่โรงงานอัจฉริยะ หรือ Smart Factory 4.0
“การนำระบบ Automation มาใช้ภายในธุรกิจ จะช่วยเพิ่มประสิทธิภาพการดำเนินงานให้สะดวก รวดเร็ว และช่วยลดต้นทุนการผลิต ลดอัตราการเกิดของเสีย (defect) ซึ่งเป็นส่วนหนึ่งของการลดใช้ทรัพยากร นอกจากนี้ ยังช่วยเพิ่มความปลอดภัย ลดความเสี่ยงในงานอันตราย ลดขั้นตอนและลดเวลาการทำงานของแรงงาน และเป็นการเตรียมพร้อมรับมือภาวะขาดแคลนแรงงานในอนาคต ซึ่งการลงทุนในระบบ Automation เป็นส่วนสำคัญที่ช่วยสร้างความยั่งยืนทางธุรกิจควบคู่กับการดูแลสังคมและสิ่งแวดล้อม สอดคล้องกับแนวคิด ESG (Environmental, Social and Governance) อีกด้วย” นายศักดิ์ชัยกล่าว

SCG Taps into Automation and Signs a Share Purchase Agreement with A.I. Technology,Preparing to Transform Industrial Plants to Smart Factory 4.0
SCG enters the automation business to drive the future industry with innovation and technology by signing a deal to buy shares in A.I. Technology Company Limited, a leader in automation system integration in Thailand. This move is in response to a growing demand for automation among businesses in many industrial sectors to boost business value, develop competitiveness, and advance Thailand’s industry toward Smart Factory 4.0. SCG has integrated automation systems in the manufacturing process to increase operational efficiency, enable the design and development of automation systems consistently under the digital strategy, and expand the business to serve external customers.
Cementhai Holding Company Limited, a wholly-owned subsidiary of SCC, has signed a share purchase agreement on 2 July 2021 to acquire a 51 percent stake in A.I. Technology Company Limited, a leader in automation system integration in Thailand with extensive expertise and experience in the business. The transaction is expected to complete in the fourth quarter of 2021. Existing shareholders will retain 49 percent of the shares and manage jointly with Cementhai Holding Company Limited.
