เออาร์วี จับมือ เมอร์เมด มาริไทม์ จัดตั้ง “ซีเควสต์” ยกระดับบริการงานวิศวกรรมใต้ทะเลด้วยหุ่นยนต์และเอไอ
บริษัท เอไอ แอนด์ โรโบติกส์ เวนเจอร์ส จำกัด (เออาร์วี) ซึ่งเป็นบริษัทในเครือของ บริษัท ปตท.สำรวจและผลิตปิโตรเลียม จำกัด (มหาชน) หรือ ปตท.สผ. ได้ร่วมทุนกับ บริษัท เมอร์เมด ซับซี เซอร์วิสเซส (ประเทศไทย) จำกัด (MSST) ซึ่งเป็นบริษัทย่อยของ บริษัท เมอร์เมด มาริไทม์ จำกัด (มหาชน) หรือ เมอร์เมด จัดตั้ง บริษัท ซีเควสต์ จำกัด ขึ้น เพื่อพัฒนาเทคโนโลยีหุ่นยนต์และปัญญาประดิษฐ์สำหรับให้บริการงานวิศวกรรมใต้ทะเลในเชิงพาณิชย์ แก่บริษัทน้ำมันและก๊าซธรรมชาติ และบริษัทด้านพลังงานทดแทนที่มีการดำเนินงานในทะเล ทั้งในภูมิภาคเอเชียและในภูมิภาคอื่น ๆ ทั่วโลก
บริษัท ซีเควสต์ จำกัด (ZeaQuest Co.,Ltd) มีทุนจดทะเบียนเริ่มต้นจำนวน 5 ล้านดอลลาร์สหรัฐ หรือประมาณ 155 ล้านบาท และมีสัดส่วนการถือหุ้นระหว่าง เมอร์เมด ซับซี เซอร์วิสเซส และ เออาร์วี เท่ากันที่ ร้อยละ 50 โดยมีเป้าหมายที่จะเป็นผู้นำในงานบริการวิศวกรรมใต้ทะเล ที่ใช้เทคโนโลยีหุ่นยนต์และปัญญาประดิษฐ์ในระดับสากล
ดร. ธนา สราญเวทย์พันธุ์ ผู้จัดการทั่วไป บริษัท เอไอ แอนด์ โรโบติกส์ เวนเจอร์ส จำกัด หรือ เออาร์วี กล่าวว่า “เออาร์วี มีความเชี่ยวชาญในการวิจัยและพัฒนาเทคโนโลยีด้านปัญญาประดิษฐ์และหุ่นยนต์ที่ใช้ในการสนับสนุนกิจกรรมการสำรวจ พัฒนา และผลิตปิโตรเลียม รวมไปถึงอุตสาหกรรมและธุรกิจอื่น ๆ นอกเหนือจากด้านพลังงาน ความร่วมมือของทั้งสองบริษัทฯ ในครั้งนี้ นับเป็นก้าวสำคัญที่จะขับเคลื่อนนวัตกรรมและเทคโนโลยีประสิทธิภาพสูงที่ เออาร์วี พัฒนาขึ้น เพื่อให้บริการในการสำรวจ ตรวจสอบ และซ่อมบำรุงโครงสร้างและอุปกรณ์ใต้ทะเล เพื่อกลุ่มธุรกิจต่าง ๆ ทั้งในภูมิภาคและทั่วโลก โดยมีฐานลูกค้าที่แข็งแกร่งของเมอร์เมดฯ เป็นแรงสนับสนุน นอกจากนี้ เออาร์วี ยังอยู่ในระหว่างการพัฒนาเทคโนโลยีล้ำสมัย เช่น หุ่นยนต์ใต้น้ำอัตโนมัติไร้สาย หรือ เอ็กซ์พลอเรอร์ (Xplorer) หุ่นยนต์ซ่อมบำรุงท่อใต้น้ำ หรือ นอติลุส (Nautilus) รวมทั้งเทคโนโลยีทางด้านปัญญาประดิษฐ์ในการวิเคราะห์ผลตรวจสอบ หรือการใช้ Internet of Things (IoT) ในการสื่อสารและส่งผ่านข้อมูล ซึ่งตั้งเป้าที่จะให้บริการในเชิงพาณิชย์ภายในปี พ.ศ 2564 ดังนั้น บริษัท ซีเควสต์ จำกัด ที่จัดตั้งร่วมกันนี้ จะช่วยสร้างมูลค่าเพิ่มให้แก่ เออาร์วี และ เมอร์เมดฯ ตลอดจนอุตสาหกรรมการสำรวจและผลิตปิโตรเลียมจากเทคโนโลยีเหล่านี้ รวมถึงก่อให้เกิดประโยชน์ทางเศรษฐกิจแก่ประเทศไทยด้วย”

ARV and Mermaid Maritime Set Up AI and Robotics Technology Joint Venture “ZeaQuest” for Subsea Services
Bangkok, August 17, 2020 – AI and Robotics Ventures Company Limited (ARV), a subsidiary of PTT Exploration and Production Public Company Limited (PTTEP), and Mermaid Subsea Services (Thailand) Ltd (MSST), a subsidiary company of Mermaid Maritime Public Company Limited or Mermaid, has formed a joint venture, “ZeaQuest Company Limited”, in order to develop AI and robotic technologies to provide underwater inspection, repair and maintenance services to oil & gas and renewable energy sectors in Asia and globally.
ZeaQuest Company Limited has a registered capital of USD 5 million (equivalent to THB 155 million) and a 50-50 ownership ratio in the joint venture between MSST and ARV. The company aims to be an internationally renowned leader in subsea services utilizing AI and Robotics technology.
